Astrology refers to the supposed study towards the movements of celestial bodies, whereas Astronomy refers to the science that is concerned with the observation of the motions of heavenly bodies and tumbling such observations into mathematical order.Īccording to jurists, it is lawful (halal) to study Astronomy as it is useful in predicting the beginning of months and seasons, determining the direction of kibla. Is it prohibited ( haram) ?Īstrology and Astronomy is used as a term that often confuses us. And that would also be arose-Did Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) had command on unseen knowledge? Or Why does Islam forbid prediction of the future through astrology and other sources like these? If we use these methods to find out what will be happened in future?
